Hi folks,

This may seem noob-ish of me, but I'm in a bit of a bind, I've just got myself in the deep end with my new comp.

These are the bits i have ordered and paid for:

AMD Athlon 64 processor
Kingston 512 RAM
Seagate 120 SATA hard dirve
ASUS A8V Deluxe Motherboard.
ABIT Radeon R9600 XT-VIO

My old comp bits that I'll be recycling are:

Sound Blaster Live Value sound card, with 2.1 speakers (though maybe even getting new speakers shortly)
TV tuner card, (it's an Aopen brand one, but not sure of the model)
Pioneer DVD ROM (i think it's an 8 or 16x)
CD-RW 48x12x48 (not sure of the brand; think it may be a Liteon)
Fujitsu 20 gig IDE hard drive.
and my Floppy Drive (not sure of the brand)

Now, my question is: What case should I get if I end up buying a new one? And also, what PSU should I get to run all these bits? Keeping in mind that I'm in Australia, I'll probably have to pay for postage and I'd prefer to do it all on a budget of between $100 and 180 AUD for both the case and the PSU and I'm after something that's gonna last the distance....(willing to spend up to the $200 mark if needs be.)

Thanks in advance for any advice.....

read the PSU 101

i would go with a 480w probably, if not then a 420w probably should do. is ur house hot ? lol. if u want cases then ...
wattage means nothing if the watts are all clustered on the 5v rail or something .
