i have the msi kt3 ultra2 board with a athlon 2200+ chip but windows only recognizes this as a 1500+1.4 gig because the board automaticaly sets at 103mhz. if i alter it to 133mhz the pc will not boot correctly it shuts down half way through boot up.
i have noticed that i do not have the latest 5.7 bios but im a bit unsure about flashing incase it goes wrong. can anyone give me any support

thanks

also i have noticed if i get it booted up for long enough a windows report comes up so i sent it and it says there is a driver problem with my nvidia tnt2 graphics card but this only happens when system is set to 133mhz could this be the problem.

"512k" isnt a type of memory.... an expected answer would have been PC100 or PC66 or something

tha's nice, but what kind of ram do you have..
SDRAM/DDRSDRAM PC2700/PC3200 cmon give us something to work with.
He gave a link. Follow it.

Now to actually answer the question, my guess is that you've got 100MHz memory in there so when you try to clock your FSB to 133 your memory gets upclocked to 133 as well and cant handle that kinda speed. Two things to look at:
1. Look to see if you can run your memory at a different clock than your CPU
2. If you do indeed have 100MHz memory, upgrade to 133MHz (or faster) memory :)
