Need Help deciding on a processor

So are you saying the 5600+ is better in ways.

Pretty much. The 5600+ (summarized by Stranglehold's words), More stable, speeds are more accurate, cooling, lower voltages, less power consumption. And that the 5600+ could overclock to the 6000+'s speeds with ease, just withouts those cons listed above.

I think all that happen was AMD stuck the 5600 as a 89 watt model so they had to use alittle bit better core to get to 2.8 with lower voltage. I can get this one to around 3.1 with out raising the voltage and its at 1.325 and to 3.2 at 1.375 and thats still less voltage than a X2 6000 at 3.0 stock. Now there suppost to of released a 89 watt model 6000 in Asia, dont know if it will ever make it here though.

I can do 3.27 orthos stable on stock volts, now im 3.33 @ 1.425v orthos stable. This is one of the main reason i got the 5600 over the 6000 and its 89w as stated

If you feel comfortable with overclocking, get he E6550

E6550 and 6000+ are pretty close competitors... I like the E6550 b/c of the 333Mhz FSB.. Get the E6550, the LGA775 socket seems to be pretty apt to upgrade later...
