Need Help Deciding On Cooler

Alright well since I got this new case my CPU temps have gone up about 4C, but my graphics cards temps are wayy down. While I realize this isn't the greatest reason to buy an expensive cooler, but I'd like to push my proc a bit farther and see if I can finally get in the 20k range for 3dmark06. My last attempt put me at around 19986 or so. It is in the official 3dmark06 thread still.

Anyways, heres what I've been looking at:

Cooler Master v10

Corsair H70

I could probably get the h70 at a reduced price as I know the guy I bought this case off of has one he wants to sell.

I'd probably get these fans for the v10: Cooler Master R4

Not sure what I'd get for the h70, probably a 120x35mm something or other, but I know the stock fans are 120x25. So I doubt the mounting system can accommodate a thicker fan.

Any thoughts on the two I picked out or other recommendation would be very much appreciated.

I'm not sure what benefit I would get by buying that cooler over the two I am initially looking at.

Thanks for the suggestion nonetheless.

The reviews I've seen has the Megahalems performing better than the V10. The H70, I dunno. Most reviews have it about equal to the best of the air coolers, Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright True, etc. Even at a reduced price, it's $ for a few degrees that you might or might not gain. On the other hand, if I could lay my hands on one for the right price, I'd also like to see if it would outperform the Megahalems.

Yea after some research the H70 is probably the only thing that would beat my current cooler and even then it isn't much.

I might just have to dive in to the water cooling world. (pun intended)

On laptop (Dell STUDIO 1450, 2.80Ghz, Core duo,ATI RADEON graphic card ), I just bought a cooling pad, the logitech N100 cooling pad. Not bad but not 4 heavy gamers since it only has 1 fan. However, the CPU temperature doesn't get above 55 Celcius when playing Counter Strike Source in Multiplayer, which is enough 4 me. (before it could get to 65 C with Cs source)

Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme,Its a beast.

However i thought that cooler you currently have now was suppose to be good?

It is good, but lately temps seem to be getting higher than they used to. Which is weird because its getting close to winter and ambient temps are dropping around here.

I dunno, I'm just not as happy with it as I used to be. Although the case I'm using isn't exactly ideal for cpu cooling either. I'll probably pick up some new fans as I'm only running one fan right now.

Anyone know of what fan is better than a yate loon for a push/pull setup? I wouldn't mind getting some thicker fans for better static pressure.

Edit: Just found the holy grail. http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling/724577-well-dressed-megahalems-65-fans-112-a.html Anyone dispute his claims? Otherwise I'm gonna pick up a couple of the yate loons he recommended.

I'm also looking for a better 140x25 exhaust fan and possibly another 200mm top fan.

Possible 140mm fan: http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...oduct_info&cPath=36_316_844&products_id=27344
200mm fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103072

Anyone ever heard of the Titan Fenrir?

I've seen reviews showing it beat the Noctua NH-D14. Might snatch one if it turns out to be true.
