Need help deciding on new psu

Okay, so I have been using an Antec TPQ-850 power supply, it was a decent power supply not as stable as i would've liked but still good. Unfortunately due to recent weather here in Michigan several power outages and one very unfortunate brownout has destroyed my power supply. Antec gave me my $150 back, so that's my budget for a new power supply. I've been looking on newegg for several days and i can't decide. I was hoping for some recommendations based on the system in my sig. also i plan on getting another 8800gt soon. Also is a single 12v rail better than multiple or what? Any help would be appreciated thanks

thanks, i'll probably go with the pc power and cooling one, however i was looking at a corsair 750 watt for $113 and would that be a better deal? if not then i'll probably go with the first one... thanks again

If you want to save money, go with the Cooler Master 500W Extreme Power. The 8800GT only requires 450W PSU, with 24A on the 12V rail. My PSU is 500W and has 2 16A rails. It will run the 8800GT, as long as that's all you plan on running. It only has one 6-pin connector so you're kinda limited to the 8800GT and the 9800GTX with a 6-pin adapter. If you were planning on getting like a GTX 260 or 280, or the 4870, then I wouldn't go for this one, but otherwise, save $100 and get this one.

yeah... i said in my first post i wanted something powerful enough for 2 8800gt's as i plan to sli soon. i would be better off sticking with my junk psu that came with my case. not to mention coolermaster isn't necessarily a bad psu company but theyre not great.

Oh sorry I missed that part. And yeah, they're not the best company, but I'm going to get an 8800GT and the PSU is just right for one. Anything better though, and it would be good to get a better PSU.
