Need help deciding

Ok so my friend wants to sell my his old processor its a
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Toledo 2.0GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor - OEM
but my computer alrdy has a Processor which i believe is a
[AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice 2.4GHz 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor - OEM
now he's asking for 80$ for it, but im is it worth paying for the new processor? whats everyones thoughs, and if not what would be a good counter offer

80$? no you could easily get it on newegg for 56$, and anyway why would you want a single core when you already have a dual core?
 
is it a big improvment over the one i have? because shadowrun doesnt run to well with the processor i have would so what yall think?

Dual core will not help with your gaming unless the games are Multi-threaded.. able to utilize a dual core correctly. However most games coming out in the future will be multithreaded so if you can get him to go down on the price abit it would be a good investment.
