Need Help For Dual Boot

I have a windows XP disk and when I try to install it on a blank partition just after when it formats the drive it goes and BSOD's.
My normal OS is win7 x64 home premium.
I wanted XP so I can play colin mcrae 3, it doesent work on 7.
P.S. Virtual box is not a option due to my 1.3 GHZ processer.
 
For duel booting windows xp and windows 7. Windows xp has to be loaded first before windows 7. For Some reason if windows 7 is loaded first. It will not allow the sp to load.
