Maybe go for a caviar black hard drive or a 7200.12, faster than the caviar blue.

I second that statement!

Have you seen the new Asus Evo board? It is priced very well and I have read some good stuff about it. It looks like a very nice budget motherboard.

It has a great combo deal right now...comes with 2x2GB Corsair RAM. Might be something to consider;) $190 for the board and the RAM.

What case do you have?

would it still give a great gaming quality?

It will play games just fine;) And it supports Cross Fire if you want to add another card later down the road. The 750w that bomberboysk recommended will have no issues running dual 4870 cards.

Have you also thought about a 4890?

Id recommend against a 785G motherboard if you plan on crossfire, as it only supports x16/x4 or x8/x8 depending on the board, and the next gen cards will easily eat x8 up, while the 790FX does X16/X16 crossfire, X16/X16/X8 Tri-fire, and x8/x8/x8/x8 Quad-Fire.

umm i have a large atx case but i dont remember the brand model or anything.. im new to this so im scared about a lot of the parts.. and yea ive seen the 4890's but i dont really want to spend that much.. im trying to keep it under $900 with tax.. do you think i should switch the mobo i have listed for the asus evo?

so i should stick to my orginal board?

I would advise to do so.

The original motherboard is a great product...I was just throwing up options for ya. You have a decent budget and can afford the better motherboardThe 4870 is a great card and will play games just fine.

That is great advice from bomberboysk.

Please try and find out the case you are using...the case is a very important piece of the entire set up. Different cases have many different features and cooling properties.

ok so im planning to order this right now and im changing the powersupply.. do you guys think that is all? this should run right?

i have the cd/dvd drives, imma use windows xp 64 bit, i have a samsung sync master 2253, i have a logitech mx 5000 keyboard and mouse, its a antec NSK 4400 atx that is customized for quiet and keeping the cool inside.. not fully sure if imma use that yet or not. but most likely.. and haha idk about the cpu cooler

Id recommend vista or windows 7 release candidate to fully utilize that directx10 graphics card.

yea i was planning on a vista computer.. but other than that.. theres a heatsink and fan included in the cpu so am i supposed to get cpu fan still?

The CPU has an included heatsink which is good for stock operation, but if you plan on overclocking you would want an aftermarket hsf.

well im not that experienced so no i do not plan on oc.. i'm not sure if you would know but i had to order the cpu off superbiiz.com because newegg didnt have it in stock but now theydo have it in stock should i worry about if they would include the fan? lol man hate being new at this
