Need Help (input) On Purchasing New Desktop

Hi friends. As my user name suggests, I'm not good when it comes to computers. I'm in need of purchasing a desktop. I have made a decision that I can buy this desktop at Walmart. They have plenty to choose from plus you can even build your own. Is it my first choice? NO I'd rather have a custom built computer but I'm getting ready to sign a lease on new office space which requires new furniture along with it and several other things so in order to keep some cash reserves for liquidity purposes, I'm financing as much as I can.

With that said, I'm hoping you folks can help me pick out a desktop computer from Walmart website. I know if you are willing you will need some more details so I'm going to list everything I can think of right now below in no certain order:

BUDGET = less than $1,000

8GB UPGRADABLE TO 16GB

NO INTEGRATED COMPONENTS (like video card)

MUST AND THIS IS A BIG ONE = be able to run 3 monitors at once out of the box or with little after market modifications

PREFER iNTEL ove AMD FOR PROCESSOR (however I'm open)

PREFER WIRELSS BUILT-IN FOR PRINTER (however I'm open to a modification just no antenna)

TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT I'M DOING/DO:

I'm an insurance agent and financial adviser. I also intend to start day trading.
I need three monitors because I will have several programs going at one time.

These programs are: quote engines, live call transfers, skype, call recording, video chat, screen sharing (sometimes all of these are going at the same time)

Now I work with two other guys who do this same thing but with 2 monitors. They bought their computers at Sam's and some place called Secondipity. Sometimes each experience a little lag but it hasn't been a problem.

I however do not wish to experience any lag (slow computer). They bought i3 and i5 computers (one guy has one the other has the other). Don't know what processor or video card but neither paid over $550 for their system.

I was looking at this computer (don't know if it will let me post the link or not) but there are no reviews on it not that I trust those reviews either. Also, there is a way to build your own computer on that site but I wouldn't even know what to buy (case, processor, video card, ect. ect.) I would be willing to go that route too.

Build one!!!!! You can lease at best buy. Best buy has a pretty good selection of parts for a pc, slightly overpriced, but still better than buying a pre built. Ibuypower and cyberpower are Basiccly the only pre built computers that have the power to run 3 monitors for a budget price, are cyberpower and Ibuypower. But they are AWFUL quality, even worse than dell/hp.
 
The iBUYPOWER one you were looking at should be fine for you. I think a Radeon HD 7770 can power 3 displays simulatentously, but don't take my word for it. If the 7770 can't power 3 monitors, then you'll need to get a higher-end graphics card.

I agree with Byte, you could a better machine for less though. Building really isn't all that hard and there's loads of help online. Definitely worth considering. And if you are a 'dummy' as you said, then building a PC would help you understand them better. ;)

I understand the whole build your own computer thing but right now it's really not a road I'd like to go down unless I had a buddy who knows about computers.

Walmart has an option for design your own and they will just send it to you. There must be a computer or a few on that site which will work for me and perhaps one I won't have to pay $900 for.

Even if I were to have one built by someone in my town with the best products, it doesn't mean squat if i don't run a decent power supply and power conditioner with regards to the computer lasting. Here in Florida we get power which isn't constant PLUS power goes on and off A LOT with weather.

Currently I have been using a lap top I purchased for right at $400 from Walmart (or Office Depot) for the last 4 years. I run a cooling pad under it with fans, power conditioner/supply and it has lasted for 4 years now used everyday.

I believe besides quality parts in the computer one needs to have a quality environment and quality power running to it.

Anyway........anyone care to poke around that Walmart site for what I'm looking for or view the build your own thing?

I'll have one custom made in about 6 months or less and give the one from Walmart to my assistant.
