Need help installing the damn VISTA!!!

Hi, i just made my first new build consisting

Asus P5Q Pro
Q6600
6600GT LOL!
Thermaltake Armor+ MX
CoolerMaster 500w
Zalman CNPS 9700
W.D 320g HDD
LG optical drive
2GB G.skill Ram

My problem here today is installing Vista. No not actually installing but getting to the point where it says insert disc to install Vista. Ok so i boot up the whole PC, bios pops up etc also it says no HDD? but after that point there are these - constantly flashing. I do not know the problem since im new but i need help to get past this damn --------!!!!! Before today it booted up fine, got past the current problem but i didnt have any Windows cd then, but i kept turning on the PC because it looked good etc!

Anyone got any solution to this problem I NEED HELP! thanks in advance!

Ok guys i figured out the problem. Im a first time builder, and i found out the problem being once i booted it up it was only booting the HDD not the optical drive causing that not to install Vista. I feel stupid not realising this but thats cool! im very happy with the computer im using now its very stable (I LIKE!)

Ya, boot order can be a b&$ch sometimes.

I set mine to CD to install OS and then I put HD back as 1st device when it's installed to keep boot times down.

One of the things a lot of people forget about or don't know about when they are on their first build or just installing an OS. (from my experience) Well, at least now you won't make that mistake again
