Need Help installing Video Card

Hey guys

I just bought a VisionTek HD 2600 ATI Radeon card. Its AGP 8x. I uninstalled my old drivers and then plugged this one in. After putting in the CD with the drivers and installing them with the wizard, a "balloon" window popped up and said it found a new "PCI Device". So I clicked and told it to install the hardware automatically but it can't find it. The weird thing is that its not a PCI card, its AGP. Any help you guys can offer will be appreciated. Thanks

i also already tried to get the drivers from the site.. and it tells me operating system or hardware incompatible.

i tried running call of duty, and it tells me it couldn't load openGL and to get latest video drivers from manufactures website. But I tried that and it says I don't have the proper hardware or software configuration to install the drivers.

Thanks again Omega. I found this article from this person who was having the EXACT same problem as me, and seems to have found a solution. The only thing is, I don't really understand what the solution was. I will try what you suggested, but I am actually hoping you can read through this and explain it to me lol. If you don't have the time, I understand, but I could really use the help. Thanks

basically it's saying on the website he didn't get the latest drivers, but rather agot the older drivers, and installed it which made the card work

Thanks for the help guys, but I think I am just going to return this card and get something else. It really should not be this hard to install a graphic card to where you need to spend hours searching for solutions, and require time and help from other people. If a company cant make something that works properly when it is installed properly than they shouldn't be selling it IMO. Thanks again.
