Hey, for some strange reasons, I tried booting my XP cd into my cd drive but it won't detect any partitions for me to install it =[ I really want to get rid of vista. any body has a solution to this?
Check options in your bios for a setting called AHCI for the SATA controller. Change it to compatible and then you should be able to install XP. In AHCI mode you would need the sata controller driver slipstreamed into a new install cd.

Where can I find that option? I tried looking everywhere in BIOS and I couldn't find AHCI Mode. I already got the SATA Controller Driver slipstreamed to my XP cd using nLite already. Although I got the Sata Controller Driver silpstreamed, it still couldn't detect any partition in my notebook.
