for $50 more... I would go with the HP Pavilion (Bestbuy - although i'm not a fan of the company).

Your getting a better processor (2.53 vs 1.86 GHz), more RAM (6GB vs 4GB), better graphics card, 9 cell vs 6 cell battery (although the battery run times seem to be reversed in the specs...), not to mention that the Pavilion will allow you to upgrade more than the G72 (if you should choose to do so). Also, although Altec Lansing make great speakers... I would say the 'Beats' with built in subwoofer on the Pavilion are btter sounding, and the Pavilion also has WiMax capability.

All in all...better specs and greater upgrade possibilities...for only a marginal increase in price... Just be weary of those Bestbuy employee's talking you into their PSP extended warranty's.

Going with both the H.P.s and Best Buy is a good choice, I have had really good luck at Best Buy and they now have dropped their restocking charges. So you can't go wrong at Best buy, just don't except any Geek Squad extra charges. Take the laptop as is without any of their checking.;) also look for any Best Buy coupons online do a google search for best buy coupons right now there is a 12% coupon online.:)
