Need help now please~

ARGH!! I just bought a gig of ram for my PC.. FULLY COMPATIBLE. ITS THE RIGHT RAM. when i start my PC up, right when i put my password in for my profile, and my dekstop screen first appears during startup, MY PC RESTARTS ITSELF!!! Whats wrong?! argh

sorry this is in another section, but i need the help bad.

Just because it is being recognized by the PC doesn't mean it doesn't have errors. Do as ceewi1 said, and run Memtest to see if it has errors. Another possibility is that the PSU is going, but test the RAM first.
