Hi guys, looking for your expertise.
I am buying a computer for World of Warcraft mainly so it needs to run it flawlessly, or as close as I can get for cheap. So bewteen these two, which is better for the cost and what is better for running WoW?

What is better between Duel-Core and HyperThreading?

Do they come with Video cards? Is it the "Integrated Graphics"? Will that be enough? I heard RAM is the main thing but I would prefer to play on the highest settings if possible so will I need to get Video card?

I know that 1Gb of RAM won't be enough, I'll get another 1GB of RAM, but can I insert more RAM into each of the systems?

Also, if I'm looking at a bad website any links to a good place to pick up a computer that suits my needs at a low budget would help.

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance guys!

First off if you have to go with a prebuilt sytem make sure you pick out a video card, intigrated won't cut it for WoW, also dual core is better than a P-4 because where you only have one processor if it's a P-4 you have 2 on one chip if it's dual core, also you might try checking out newegg.com, i'm not sure if they have prebuilt systems, but you could buy all the parts and build the computer youself for less money.

Thanks for the reply!
I totally agree about buying a prebuilt, I hate that fact that I am going to, but I know very, very little about computers unfortunatly... So Dual core is that much better right? But what if WoW doesn't support dual core (which I don't think it does) will it atleast be able to take the load off of the game and mutlitasking or does it mean that it only runs everything off of one of the processors? Because if so then I might aswell get a P4 because the main use for the computer is WOW.Thanks for the website too!

personally i'd still go with the dual core becasue it's newer, but you'll definately need a different video card, since it has PCI-E it shouldn't be hard to find a good one.

1GB for wow is pretty good but if you have the money, go for 2gb. and as for the video card, i ran it wow on high settings fine wth my radeon 9600 pro. wow isnt supported by dual core so that just means it runs off on core. i agree with admnpower about getting the dual core but if your budget doesnt allow it, a P4 would be fine for wow.

-new powersupply? you can get some pretty good ultra psus for about $30 from frys if you're lucky
-eVGA 7600GS. its a good midrange card and its only $100
-2006 mcafee virus protecton. got mine for free after rebate also from frys

Ok, I've been doing more reading and it seems that Athlon out preforms Intel so how about these comps?

The first of the three has a graphics card but is the slowest, would that graphic card do or would i still need another?

And why do i need a *new* powersupply? Does it come with one and it sucks or is it something not included that I need?

And are these computers good prices? It's canadian btw.

Ok, I've done more looking and found this, it comes with graphics card and moniter but it's a less powerful machine. The question is, am I sacraficing too much power? Or will this run WoW like a beast? I do plan on getting another 1GB of RAM but only if I need it. Also, if I get this package would I need anything else? I think it comes with a anti virus program too, so would I need anything else other than the game?

This will run WoW like a beast, as you would say. Any chip in the X2 range will run that game, no problems. Dont worry about sacrificing power with an X2.

Thanks for all of your replies guys, I'm thinking I have learned alot and might know what I want now. So the athlon 3800 x2 is more than enough power right? So I think this is the best deal I can find anywhere, I even used all the links at newegg.com to build my own but this deal is still cheaper cause I also get a 19" LCD moniter. Once question though, in this deal I get a nVidia GeForce 6100 GPU graphics card; is that a good one and all I will need? If so then this deal is even better. A speedy response would be nice considering the deal ends in 2 days, so please give your opinions on the items and price and let me know if I should go pick it up.

Also like I said in a previous post, if I get this deal, will I need anything else other than the game, I know some things may be commen sense but I and really new to the computer gig so I really need to get this right.

Thanks again for everyones help, you guys are all making my life much easier and I appreciate it.

Sorry to bump, but deadline is coming up and would really like to hear your guys opinions on this computer. Will it be all that I need? Will it be powerful enough to run WoW perfectly? And most importantly, is it a good price?

I would reccomend the computer you have from the futureshop place- the 6100 isnt that bad at all. Its about the best integrated video ive ever seen. Get it quickly!
