Need help on unformated SD card information retrieval

I've been having some problems lately retrieving some photos I've taken on my Speedy SD card. The problem is that I didn't format the card before using it. I didn't have any problems accessing the photos on my camera at first, but at one point, the camera displayed a message saying that it was no longer possible to retrieve the photos and that the card has to be formated.

Is there any way that I can retrieve my photos? I am sure the photos are still there since they were accessible at one point.

try doing a disk check on that card. i have similar problems with my flash drive.
