need help picking a card

Well, it is PCIe 2.0 either way. 2.0 was introduced with Core 2 duo units, 965 chipset I think, maybe its replacement. 1156 and 1155 are 2.0 period.

Download PC Wizard from my sig, install it and run it. Go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Save the text file and copy its contents into here.

one last post for this thread, and I just want to thank those that offered help. everything is in and working properly. wasn't all that bad. I did have a little trouble with the 4 pin connector to the MB. I couldn't find it because there were actually two of them clipped together and I thought it was an 8 pin connector, Doh! but I'll know next time. the hardest part was probably finding somewhere to put all those cables.

anyhow, thanks again everyone. I think this just put me one step closer to building my own next time I'm looking for a new PC.
