Need Help Playing Downloaded Videos on DVD

Can anyone please send me instructions on how to play down loaded videos and movies on my DVD.

I have down loaded some videos which play well on my computer, but will not play on my DVD to the TV.

Help will be greatly appreciated.

The Format that DVD players use is VOB files, though some newer DVD players will play divx files also.

And what's the videos format you downloaded? From where?
I suppose you need to convert the downloaded files to DVD players compatible VOb files by some video conversion tools like aneesoft and handbrake~
