Need help please

What happened there, did you forget to buy a monitor?

For £30 you are pretty much going to get nowhere.

Your best bet is to save up that money until you can afford something decent, in the range of 19 - 24", I assume for £1200 you bought a gaming pc capable of playing games at 1920 x 1080?

Full HD monitors can be had for as little as £90.

If you need a monitor straight away you'd have to go to eBay to pick up something used, I don't know what you'd be able to find though with £30, maybe an old 4:3 19".... Go take a look

EDIT:

This is what I've come up with from a quick eBay search:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19-inch-L...mputerComponents_Monitors&hash=item4d00e8ed1a

£19.99 + £4.99 P&P

That's better than what I've posted from eBay, as it's a widescreen, and not an off-brand. LG Make pretty good monitors.

As long as you know that the monitor is working properly and comes with a DVI/VGA & Power cable you'll be good to go. I don't know if you're paying him or what you're paying him for it, but £30 for a 19" Widescreen is quite reasonable. :)

You can't get a screen for 30
He just got a monitor off a friend for 40 quid, and have you ever heard of the "second hand market"? Sometimes people sell decent stuff cheap there. -.-

did he not get it for £40? not 40 quid? i dont see why someone would pay 40 pieces of chewing tobacco or 40 french encyclopedias instead of 40 pound sterling.

'Quid' is slang for pounds here in Britain, just like 'bucks' is slang for dollars in the US. Apparently quite a lot of our American users spend over 1000 male deer, antelope or roe on their PCs. -.-

i have never heard roe been called a 'buck' roe being fish eggs, just so we're clear on what im thinking about lol

My OEM cheap Dell mouse and keyboard work just fine. If you're a hardcore FPS player you'll want better but I don't see why you need anything above that. At least not at first.

Apparently they have. :D See here! To be honest I had never heard people call chewing tobacco or French encyclopaedias 'quid' before but hey...
