hi, ok so i decided to build a new computer, and i have rougly around $1000 give or take like a $100...building it from the ground up...and i want it to be really fast when playing games..have a decent amount of memory...with a cd writer ..can anyone help me out? please:D
 
There are loads of other threads of people in the exact same situation as you- $1k budget and want a gaming machine. Do a search, and you'll get some configs.

Seriously though, try the search feature and type in new build to get some ideas then post back with what you think you want and we will be happy to comment.
 
as I stated with someone with the same question I would suggest, either buying a prebuilt system from a local computer shop (not a nationwide retial like bestbuy or futureshop) you'd be fine with that choice, or save up a bit more and build one, and buy the parts of ebay shops with good ratings, you'll save alot most of the time. I did and thats my personal recommendation.

I'm a bit touchy? :P

It's just that I see on average 4-5 thread everyday with people saying that they're going to build a new computer, and want parts recomendations, and to me anyway, it's just a pain in the ass when there are literally hundreds of other threads with the same recomendations that would be posted here.
