Need help-unable to display some webpages

I received a computer from a widow that I know that belonged to her husband. Since I built it I sort of knew all the hardware and most of the software and did some upgrades to it. I decided to connect it to the internet to download some software it needed via a wifi adapter and my router. I am not the administrator on this computer but that didn't seem to be a problem. While on the internet with it I opened a Twitter account and accessed a couple of other websites with it. Now I have disconnected it. Seems now that when I try to connect to those sites like Twitter I cannot connect to them using my main computer. With IE I get a unable to display webpage and with Chrome I get unable to connect to the real Twitter.com or unable to connect to the real Purdue.com. Can anyone help me figure out what I have to do to my computer to be able to access these sites again. The Chrome tab says SSL error. thanks:(

I am going to try connecting that second computer back up and going to twitter and closing the account. then I'll try and open a new account using the host computer. also any other sites I went to using the networked computer that I can't display with the host computer I will try to display them with the host computer and hopefully resolve the SSL issue. there's gotta be an easier way but I can't find it. this may not even work but I believe this is the root of the problem.
