I also bought this TV to use as a monitor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889022070

I have the TV connected to the video card with a DVI to HDMI cable and I have all the settings right I think...The manual said to use 1024x768 60hz but a web page will not fit on the screen like that so I am currently using 1152x648 but that doesn't fill the screen up...DVDs use less screen too and its not as clear as I thought it would be...I just want it to fit the screen with good resolution...I know this is probably simple to alot of people but I work about 60 hours a week and don't have much time to research this stuff so any help would be great..Thanks ahead of time....

The TV's resolution is 1366 x 768. Set your GPU to this. If you don't have it as an option, try updating the drivers if you don't have the latest ones installed.

ok thanks for the reply,I found a setting of 1360x768 and set it to that...I suppose thats what you meant instead of 1366...Its better but its funny because some of the words or font is bold and some are not, like right in the same sentence...Well it actually looks like they words get bold in the same place across the screen....like while I type this message the words get bold in the same places across the screen....

This is crazy!! This would be perfect if all the letters were the same size..Its like it has stripes!! It has bold letters in the same spot across the screen!! Anyone know why its doing this?

No, I meant 1366x768. That was copied directly from Newegg's specs for the TV.

I know what you're referring to. That usually happens when the picture is stretched out and the aspect ratio is wrong and all. Look a bit more and see if you can find 1366.

It'd be nice if my converter would hurry up... I recently purchased a DVI to HDMI converter for my LCD TV :P Though mine runs a bit higher resolution than yours apparently does (1440 x 900).

If you have a Nvidia graphics card, I have found a way. Go start -> all programs -> NVIDIA Corporation -> Nvidia Control Panel -> Control Panel. There should be a little + or - next to the word display on the right hand side of the screen. Make it so that menu is expended by clicking on the little + or -. Then click on manage custom resolutions. Go create then enter 1366 in the Horizontal and 768 in the vertical. Leave everything else as it is. Then click on test (still in the create box) and you will have to agree to this thing. Make sure that you set it correctly. Click accept. It will test it click OK when you see it.

You might have to click on "Change Flat Panel Scaling" which is under the display menu and fiddle around with that if there are any black lines along the edges of the screen.

Hope this helps
