Alright so Ive been researching on ram to find some good ones
right now i need to know if 6-6-6-24 is better then 7-7-7-20 (both @ 1333mhz 1.6v)
And what ram is better
GeIL Ultra Plus 1600mhz CL7-7-7-24 @ 1.60v
or
GeIL Ultra Plus 1333mhz CL6-6-6-24 @ 1.60v

Please state why too, and the heatsinks are REALLY good so i can OC, if you are wondering. I will be running a phenom 2 x2 BE 555 (possible unlock) on a 870nb mobo.

Oh i see now, ty. But if i bumped the voltage would I be able to change the cl 6-6-6-24 or 7-7-7-20 (or something like that). And I still have that remaining question: is 6-6-6-24 is better then 7-7-7-20?

I have always focused on the PC rating of memory and it has never lead me wrong. Timings don't make much of a difference. The DDR3 1600 memory can transfer data at speeds up to 12,800 megabytes per second. The DDR3 1333 memory can transfer data at speeds up to 10,666 megabytes per second.

This still dosent answer my question, would 7 7 7 20 have lower timings then 6 6 6 24.

Yeah, while 6-6-6-24 is numerically faster than 7-7-7-20 (the CL makes the most difference of any of these 4 timings) keep in mind you were looking at 2 different speeds of RAM. Also, at 1600MHz 7 cycles is a pretty small number so it's less noticable than back in the days of DDR400.

Oh thanks, I'm used to running ddr 200 at cl2.5, so I couldn't tell what the standards where these days.
