I've used Golive to set up my webpage a while back and I recently have had access to Dreamweaver CS3, and so I have made the change, but I feel lost.
I have four questions:
1. How can copy and paste AP elements (they used to be layers in Golive)? I try copy and paste and nothing happens - but in the "undo" menu, I can "undo paste". So why am I not seeing it? Nothing is set to be invisible as far as I know.
2. In Golive, I used to be able to "insert layer" and then drag a box that created the layer. Then I could place text, pictures etc... in the layer. So, how can I create an AP element in DW CS3 in a similar manner so it will be placed exactly where I want it and then I can introduce text or images etc?
3. Every page right now is shown on the left side of the screen and I would like it all to be shown in the middle of the screen. How can I do that?
4. How can I set my text in DW so that the user cannot resize it? In other words, so the size of the text always appears the way I set it and not the way the user has the "text size" configured in his/her browser?
I know these are basic web design questions, but I'm getting a headache trying to find my way around Dreamweaver, so I appreciate any help. Also, any suggestions on good books or tutorials for Dreamweaver CS3 would be well appreciated.
