Need help wifi connecting

hi,I have a laptop and gave it too someone to fix the viruses on it and when he returned it he must have wiped out the software for picking up wireless connections as when i go to network connections it now has some dial up thing and it doesn't pick up the local connections like it used to , is there any software i can download to get this feature back on or do you think maybe the isp disc would have that ability.

Goto the manufacture and click on support for your model. Or and goto device manager and look for a yellow exclamation for your hardware. right click it then to find a better driver. Im figuring you can hook up a cat5 to access the internet so you can find the drivers.
