Need Help With 800-1000$ Build

So I'm looking to build a gaming rig, my first in fact, and would like some recommendations. I don't need a monitor, keyboard/mouse, case, speakers, or a blu-ray/dvd drive because I have all of those picked out. I do however need everything else required for internet use and gaming. Hardcore gaming or what?? If so then you can get a pretty darn good rig set up for under $1000.
