Need Help With Adding a New HardDrive

Hello there,
Any help anybody can give me on this issue will be wonderful!

At the moment I have 2 hard drives on my system totalling upto a massive 320GB. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be adequate as its nearly out of space now. So I'm now trying to add another internal harddrive using a PCI SATA/IDE Controller Card. After looking at several hard drives, I found that all of them has a specific power requirement but I don't know if my PC will provide the adequate power. :( Could somebody tell me if there is some way of knowing the power specifications of my system, please? It would be very much appreciated.

If you have the spare power connections from your PSU you should be OK. Your system doesn't look too demanding, what size PSU do you have? A 350W or bigger should have more than enough power.

Unfortunately, that is what I want help with. How do I find the watt range of my PSU? Would it probably be on a label somewhere on the PSU?

it all depends on your system. if you are already using a lot of power, then this might not be for you. But if you are not using a lot of power, then just get a power spliter

I don't think I use a lot of power at the moment. All that's attached to my pc now is a 2.4 GHz P4, DVD-RW drive, a 256 MB ATI video card, 2 hard drives, 2 cooling fans, a usb desktop lamp and a set of desktop speakers. Thanks anyway. I'll just use a splitter and try to get it working (hopefully!)
