If your Palm Zire 72 is no longer responsive to user input, a "soft" reset may put it back in working order. The Zire features an internal reset button, set inside the device's casing, to prevent accidental activation; although you will be unable to access the button directly, your Zire 72's stylus will serve as an ideal tool for this purpose. Soft resets present little risk to stored data; your contact information and notes will be saved, but you may need to reconfigure certain settings (such as date and time) afterward.
