So here is the specs of my computer. Sorry If my post isn't all the info you would need. I just really wanna slowly start upgrading my computer but I don't know how to install anything besides putting in in the pci slots so changing boards and processors I need help. If you guys could help recommend stuff it would help me a lot.

The goal is to be able to play current day games. Not wanting to play on max settings just be able to play them. Thanks for any help you guys give. :)

Basically looking at replacing everything and starting over. You are running off of integrated video and thats why games don't play good. I'm assuming you have the MSI 760gm-e51 motherboard?

You could find a used Phenom II x4 965 cpu, upgrade your power supply, get a dedicated video card and should be ok. What kind of budget you have?

Well I get paid every 2 weeks and will get around 100 dollars after bills. So every 2 weeks Ill have another 100.

So what games are you actually wanting to play? You would also need to add more memory too. Depending on what you are wanting to play, you may need a new build altogether. Just to upgrade this you are probably looking around $350.

cpu $75 on ebay
power supply $50
Video card $150-$175
Memory $30

But to be honest, its probably time to get a new platform. We can help you build a new pc if thats the route you want to go but at the rate of your savings, you won't have enough money for at least 3-4 months. At that point prices will change so really can't quote you prices and since new products will be coming out in the next few months.

I understand. Well I mean I can invest more I just am not trying to go to much until I move next month. That being said. I'm wanting to play dead rising 3 and fable anniversary currently. I don't exactly know how to put everything together if I ordered parts. You could help me with that?

I mean I know buying in pieces is always better but is there any ones you would reccommend that are already built? that will be better than this and I can upgrade that one so I at least have a better base?

If you buy something prebuilt out of a store you really can't upgrade it. With the games you are wanting to play it sounds like you would need a gtx 960 which the lowest price for that is $169. If you went AMD AM3+ the socket is outdated and dead currently. They are supposed to be coming out with new platform in the next few months. If you went with the latest Intel it would increase your total price about $100. But at this point, you need to just save your money and come back when you have $700-$800.

Dead Rising 3 is terrible. Dying light is 100X better if not 1000X.

Get yourself a basic 4 core machine from iBuypower or Cyberpower or any of the smaller "indie" builders out there. When you can afford it, add a better video card and an SSD for higher performance.

My suggestions for a gaming PC right now would be

At least i5 4460 CPU
At least 8GB of RAM
At least 1TB hard drive. 120GB+ SSD plus hard drive is better.
At least R9 380 graphics card
At least 1080P monitor

Better is going to be better, obviously, but that's what I'd aim for. Alternatively, you can buy used parts from Ebay and put together something like:

used i5 3570
used AMD 7970 graphics card
*new* 1TB hard drive (don't buy a used HDD u are just asking for trouble)
used 8GB RAM
used Z77 motherboard

Or look for a used computer with reasonable specs.

AMD is launching their new APU's in the next couple weeks. They will be on the new AM4 socket, which means you can get a new APU now, which should offer decent gaming performance. The problem with getting a machine now is that Intels offerings are all on the expensive side and AMD's offerings are severely out dated and on the cusp of being replaced. If you went this route you'd be getting an AM4 board, which will be the socket used in the high end CPU's coming out later this year and into next year. Also you'll have DDR4 RAM, which is pretty similar in price to DDR3 but better performance and not outdated.

The new APU's in themselves are supposed to be pretty good and would give you a good starting point. Not entirely sure where pricing is going to be, but I'd expect a fairly cheap option. The APU's won't max out the latest games of course but they'll be affordable and put you in place to upgrade when you want to.
