Need Help With Computer Problems

Hi,

Ive just finished building my dad a computer and for some reason its got loads of problems with it. I built myself a computer for myself and its working fine so i have no idea whats going on here. Heres the problem. When i finished it it was working fine but when i started to install the drivers for the hardware it started to act up. It started restarting itself and then it eventually started to freeze at the windows loading screen and i would have to use the comp in safe mode. I didnt know how to check what was causing the comp to act up so i decided to uninstall the software for the graphics card since that was acting up when i tried to install it (it wouldnt run from the disc and it just didnt do anything when i tried to load the setup program). After i had uninstalled the grpahics card software it seemed to work fine so i immediately went off looking for a newer version of the driver and an all round windows update. Then i started to install things like the Internet my dad singed up to and programs like Windows Live Mail and then it started restarting itself again and now its back to freezing at the windows loading screen so all i can do is use the comp in safe mode. And the speakers arent working either. Im using 2.1 speakers my a company called Trust. I didnt bother buying a sound card cause i was just going to use the motherboard but the motherboard wont even pick up the speakers at all. So i decided to plug the speakers into my own computer which has a sound card but only the left speaker and the subwoofer work and they sound like there is a bit of static in the background. All thats coming out of the right is a faint static noise. I think that the graphics card and the speakers might be damaged but im not sure. Ill check to see if my graphics card will work in my dads comp tomorrow but for now i just want to know if anyone knows whats going on or if i should just try and get a refund from the company i bought the parts from. Thanks for any help,
Pyro

I am not the best at this but by the fact that the speakers aren't working well and the is something wrong with the graphics card and generally tasks the thing in comen is the motherboard, so it there could be a problem with it but I honestly don't know. Just wait and I am sure you'll get a but better responce.

But it cant be the motherboard cause the speakers are at least half working on my own computer, but on my dads they arent working at all.

well that doesent matter at all my thought is its the motherboard but let me get some more info are you useing the same motherboard?

Its two different motherboards. I think i found out why they werent at least half working on my dads comp but i think the speakers are damaged anyway. I might just try formatting the hard drive and starting over and if that doesnt work then ill try get an exchange on the motherboard cause i no longer think that the graphics card is damaged.
