need help with DVD drive

i know this may be the wrong section but you guys have been the most helpful so i thought id post my problem here lol sorry

MY bios shows and reads i have the dvd drive, and also on startup it reads it but its not in windows, not in my computer or on device manager i cant understand why not, any1 know why?

Hmm, try connecting it to a different IDE location. Is it on master or slave? Just try to plug it another way, and see if window reconises it. Good luck
