Need help with monitor problem

I have a MultiSync 3FG Monitor that has worked great for 2 years. Now all of the sudden it's regular screen size on top and only about 6 to 8 inches on the bottom. Any ideas or is it just dying?

It's foobar! It sounds like a replacement is in order. The main comparison with crts and lcds is the life span. Crts usually see somewhere around 17,000 hours of good running time while the better lcds see up around 50,000 total. A note here is the rough estimate since individual patterns of use differ. Some will have a monitor running 24/7 while others will see a couple of daily at most just browsing and checking the email.
