Hello I bought My Computer a Little less then a Year Ago and Need help.

First of all [Mainly] I need to improve my Computers Speed How Can I do So?
My Computer is opening Programs Loading Slowly How can I fix this?

second. How can I get more FPS and Less Lag in Games?

third. My Internet Sometimes Just Drops to Download Speeds Under 1.0 and Ping is About 400. (Recently It has been doing this a Lot)
My Internet connection currently is good and is usually like this. Its Below

What Programs should I Uninstall or Install?

5. Anything I should Upgrade and What too?

Also I have a Norton For About a Year Is there anything It doesnt Protect me From Maliware or Something and a Program I should get to protect me from whatever Norton Doesnt
 
Few things. Ditch Norton, it's practically a virus in itself. Use Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials. Also, your video card is pretty weak. I'd get a new video card if you can. If you do that you'll probably need a new power supply as well, but that depends on what you already have.

Unless you use Hamachi regularly, I'd ditch it myself. I've always had problems with it interfering with my wireless. If you have internet problems, a fresh install of your wireless drivers is always a good idea.

Run CCleaner as well, but MAKE SURE YOU DO A BACKUP when it prompts you to. I've had to spend 3 days working on my computer and reinstalling Windows because I skipped the backup. CCleaner messed up something and without the backup, I couldn't fix it without a reinstall. It's fine to use, just back it up.
 
Well, that mid-range Radeon isn't exactly helping your problems with lag in games - if you're serious about gaming, upgrade.

Are you using any pirated software? I'd run some virus scans. I see you have Malwarebytes - use that. You can get rid of the McAfee crap.

Uninstall any software which you don't use on a regular basis, too.
 
Run the programs here to make sure you don't have any malware on your system.

Run tdsskiller, Adwcleaner, junkware removal tool and OTL and post the logs back here. Have you ran malwarebytes lately?

You have utorrent installed, which means you most likely are downloading pirated software, not good. You have some software that needs to go bye bye.

Run those programs for me and I'll give you a list of what needs to be uninstalled.

Please download and run TDSSkiller

When the program opens, click on the start scan button.

TDSSKiller will now scan your computer for the TDSS infection. When the scan has finished it will display a result screen stating whether or not the infection was found on your computer. If it was found it will display a screen similar to the one below.

To remove the infections simply click on the Continue button and TDSSKiller will attempt to clean them or remove them.

After trying to clean them it will pop up with the results of the scan and its actions.

Please reboot the system if asked to do so.

After running there will be a log that will be located at the root of your c:\ drive labeled tdsskiller with a series of numbers after it example, C:\TDSSKiller.2.4.7_23.07.2010_15.31.43_log.txt

Please open the log and copy and paste it back here.

You're one of the member I respect the most here but seriously? Norton is very good! It is expansive but good. Can Avast do the same for free? Almost.

So ditch Norton unless you want to pay, not because "it's a virus in itself".

Back on topic, follow John's instruction, your computer lagging is not normal. Also please know that NO Antivirus will protect you 100%, you'll need comon sense for that. If you download illegally, cracked softwares and what not, there is a high chance you'll get infect somehow.

So get Avast (or keep Norton), and get malwarebytes anti malware too.

Honestly I say Ditch Norton as well it's not the best constantly be popping up stuff on your computer saying you have a virus or buy now if you want a really good Anti-Virus Try this

Comodo Anti-Virus - It's free and very very good! It also defrags computer shows when a program is trying to get Adminstrator Rights and many more stuff etc....

I had Norton 360 for a while, it picked up most of the thing I tested. Avast didn't (especially that old MSN virus). It used to be ressource hog, it got better but it kept it's bad reputation. If I had money for it, I will definitely get it again, it worked well and also you can change settings if you don't want stuff popping up...

PS: Please use punctuations, I had a real hard time reading you...
 
I'm sorry Punk but I also don't recommend Norton. This is coming from somebody who has been uninstalling the stuff on people's machines for years because it does more harm than good. It's just expensive bloatware. The free stuff does the job as well, if not better. If you really want to pay for an anti-virus, look at something like Kaspersky instead.

I'm with Denther on this one. And I say the same things about McAfee too.

We are all entitled yo our opinions. I certainly don't share the same opinion about Norton as you clearly do.

Well I've gotta say over the years I've found it to be a right pain personally. You are right. uninstalling it is a pain! Uninstalling McAfee can also be a pain.

I recommend you download the removal tool from here to remove Norton: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/uk/home/current/solutions/kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us

You should be OK to just uninstall that McAfee scan thing - it probably came pre-installed with your PC (especially likely since it's an OEM machine).
 
Even if I was given a lifetime subscription of Norton for free I wouldn't use it.

Would be nice if I could be told what programs are required to have during startup and not have to be told what anti virus to use...

Calling Norton a virus is probably a bit much but it shares some characteristics. It is constantly on and using system resources and slowing down your computer when it doesn't need to. Free anti virus is just as good if you know how to use it.

I'll withdrawal my statement of Norton being a virus though.
 
Okay guys that's enough Norton talk. Allow the OP to do the scans and report back with what he finds.
 
Thanks computer is running better now. What should I Upgrade my graphics card to? and If I need to what Power Supply? Anything else I need to upgrade?
