need help with my computer

I seems to me that there is no OS on the computer. Try putting a Windows disk inside and opening up command line, and try searching for documents.
Maybe you had 2 hard drives one of which failed and the other did not have the OS on it.
For now i do not see a problem with your computer itself, except maybe that hard drive.

Looks like you either have a bad hard drive since it won't boot at all with the hard drive boot enabled or bad data/power cable to the hdd. When you disable the hard drive boot then you at least get the invalid media error. Try a different hard drive and if that don't fix the issue then try a different power supply.

hmm, thanks for the reply, does it matter if when i formatted the computer i partition my hard drive into 2 drives? i have 320gb hd, i splitted 100gb for the windows, and 220 gb for the storage.

No it didn't matter about the partitioning.

It has nothing to do with Dell, hard drives go bad at times. Unless you can troubleshoot it to something besided the hard drive.

Try downloading seagate's Seatools
http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools
you can run a Hard Drive Test there to see if it is a drive issue. Just burn to a cd the boot t. Works great, i just used it to test hard drive that was givin to me
