CPU= i7-870
Motherboard= ASUS P7P55D-E PRO
RAM= Kingston 1333Mhz CL9 DDR3
Harddrive= Hitachi 1Tb
DVD-RW= Samsung 24x SATA DVD +/- RW OEM
Graphics Card= Powercolor HD 6870
Moniter= Samsung 23" B2330H
PSU= Cooler Master Silent Pro 800W
Cooling Fan= ?
Casing= ?

I am going to use this com mainly for gaming. I chose that moniter because that is the cheapest 23" I can find :p. For GPU, I am buying 1 now and planning to crossfire it in the future. Thus, I need help with:
1.) which desktop casing should I get(well ventilated and cheap)?
2.) how many cooling fans should I get? Which brands?
3.) is my PSU high enough to support crossfire?

Thanks

I heard that AMD's CPU costs much cheaper than Intel's CPU. I was thinking of changing the cpu with a AMD x4 465 and the motherboard with a ASUS M4A89TD PRO. Issit ok?

AMD CPU's are cheaper and do good with most applications.

Intel's "Core i" series CPU's do great at everything. :D

How much are you looking to spend on this build?

I want an average com with good upgrading route - the reason why I want to crossfire in the future. My budget is around SGD1,500 and I am ordering these parts from the local computer store :(. Too bad I can't shop from newegg.com. So far, I am abit above my budget (the AMD com spec) but I am willing to pay for it if they are good.

in your circumstance, I would go AMD for proc. If you want a good computer upfront and have the money though, go ahead and get Intel.

Cooler Masters Storm series are fantastic. I had the Storm Scout, and loved it. Tool-less design, and comes with plenty of fans. LEDs on it are red, so its different from all the blue you usually find. A similar case is the Scout Sniper, with blue LEDs, I hear its great as well. I know the Storm Scout is around $100. If you check amazon.com you may get it on sale. IIRC the Storm Sniper is $120-$150. Either case is well worth the money.

Tks. If I were to go with the Storm Scout Casing, I don't need to buy any additional fans right?

No, IIRC there is a 120/140mm fan on top, one on back, one in front, one on side...thats like 4 fans, one I believe is 90mm, one 140mm, and two 120mm fans...you ought to be fine with that ;) I know for a fact there are at least two 120mm and a 140mm fan though, and you will be fine.

Scout has one front 140mm LED, the rear one is a 120mm LED, and the top one is a plain 140mm :)

You can also put 2x120mm fans on the side panel. i had one there before and all it does is attract dust really.

K, how bout my other parts? Are they okay? Issit possible to substitute any parts for a cheaper one without sacrificing too much performance? I was thinking of changing the psu to a lower power one(around 700W).
