Hey

Im kinda new at these things.

Would like to know how to get my memory running at full speed? My memory is Kingston HyperX 3x2Gb 1600mhz DDR3 CL9, looking at
CPU-Z it shows on memory tab that DRAM Frequency 517.5Mhz shouldnt it supose to be like 800Mhz or something?

Yeah just go into the bios and change it, simple as that.

Check out your manual to see what category the ram speed is in.

Yup, changed it up a notch in BIOS, got the DRAM Frequency up to 690,0Mhz, so I changed it up another notch resulting with a total freeze,
it refused to even boot. So I reseted, and got it up and running again. So with the new frequency I thought I would stress test it with prime95,
and after 1 hour it suddenly just rebooted? could it be something with my latency, shouldnt the CL9's latency go something like 9-9-9-? and not 8-8-8- like mine does?
stress.txt doesnt even show any errors it just rebooted?! any idea?

Well actually just check the ram's voltage. Auto will probably put you at 1.50v when it should be set to 1.65v.

With your base clock at 173, the next ram multiplier is 10 which would have put your ram at 1730mhz (865) which is definitely too high.

I actually suggest you set your base clock to 190, drop the multi to 19....this will still give you 3.6ghz but it will bump your ram up to 1520mhz which is closer to what it should be...BUT, you may need more juice on the memory controller so it's stable. So set your VTT voltage to 1.25v as well.

So, to recap do this-

Change base clock to 190
set CPU multiplier to 19
set ram on the 8 multiplier to put it at 1520 (760) speed
Set VTT voltage to 1.25
Set Ram voltage to 1.65

Its actually at 1.656 something, would have gone with 1.66 but next step was 1.67 and it gave me a warning that intel announced cpu's may take damage or may brake down completly. guessing its a bloomfield thing.

yup, it works fine and its stable. ran it throug Intel Burn Test several times and prime95, works like a charm. thanks again!!

yay, NP.

Your PC should be faster all around with anything that uses ram. Faster clock speed on the ram first of all plus with the higher base clock makes your QPI and NB speeds higher which means better performance.
