Need help with PC build

Hey guys,

I need some help building a computer since I don't really understand that much about computers myself. I have 650 euros to spend. I want it to be a gaming computer. I don't want to overclock anything.
Could you please make some build suggestions that are around 650 euros.

Going by your signature it's not like your current PC is "bad", it will still game fine, so I don't see why you need to build a whole new rig? 650 euros will get you some nice upgrades for your existing machine and leave you with change.

Indeed my current computer is running everything just fine, but the other computer is for my friend... and at the moment I have no clue what CPUs and GPUs are out... im a little outdated

Oh ok if it's for a friend.

I'll get onto Amazon.de for your shortly and post a build up for you!

OK I do study German at school but I'm really not fluent, had a time navigating Amazon.de, so I'll tell you what to get.

CPU - i3 2100
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H (or GA-Z77-D3H if it's cheaper)
RAM - 8GB RipJaws-X 1600MHz or 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz (whichever is cheaper)

Case - Corsair Carbide 300R
PSU - Corsair CX 600
Optical Drive - DVD-RW from Samsung, Pioneer, LG, LiteOn

HDD - 500GB or 1TB WD, Seagate or Samsung drive, 7200 RPM with a 32MB or 64MB buffer

Graphics - Radeon HD 6850 or 6870 (whichever fits your budget)

Should be around 650.

Thank you very much :) would be happy if other people would give more suggestions just to see if people have different opinions ^^

Most would probably come up with something very similar to that.

You could actually use a Corsair CX 500 for a 6850 or a 6870 but if you wanted to upgrade to something bigger in the future you would need to upgrade the power supply too, whereas with the CX 600 you likely wouldn't.

We are thinking of using old parts from his computer to safe some money, he is checking right now for the PSU and stuff, I will report back in a minute

alright at the moment he has
CPU: q6600 quadcore
GPU: ATI HD 3650
PSU: 250W
nothing worth keeping really...

The CPU's good for gaming still, should be for another few years.

Upgrade the graphics and PSU to the 6870 and the CX 500 or CX 600 and it'd be good.

What RAM and board does he have?

If he could spend more money on my build I'd get an i5 3570K and an aftermarket cooler and overclock the 3570K. Maybe get a 7850 instead of a 6870 too.

he has bad ram and an old mobo... but he is now willing to pay 800 euros. Is that enough for the i5 3570 and 7850?

where do you live? That will be fairly enough, you can even buy better psu and an hd7870 which is very good.

alternate is a good shop in europe, cheap prices.

take these things and you'll be ok for at least 4 years I think :P

Edit: read the posts back, sorry, I thought you only needed that parts. Get the hd7850, CX500 and the rest spirit posted.
