Okay, so I don't think my problem is as simple or retarded as the title suggests. I just moved to a new apartment, and the landlord lives above me. He's already got an internet connection via cable modem and has it connected to a wireless router. When I moved, I had to give back the modem to the cable company, so I basically just had my router from the old apartment. So what I did was install a wireless card into my desktop (windows XP) to run off my landlord's wireless router. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to connect my PS2 to the internet. I don't have a modem, nor are there any ethernet ports installed in the house (thinking maybe my landlord wire-networked the house).
I still have the old wireless router (if that can be of any use, I don't know). I had originally thought that I'd be able to piggyback the wireless signal my desktop receives to go out of my desktop's ethernet port, but wasn't quite sure how to do it or if it could be done. I also looked up some wifi-to-ethernet bridges, but they all require an ethernet-based internet connection for setup (which I don't have). Please let me know of any suggestions. Thanks.
