EDIT:
hmm some guy in another forum adviced me to connect 4 of the 8 pins to the connector and leave the rest out in the air ... would it work ? more important .. can it damage the board or anything other ?

Isnt the 8 pin connector for Dual Processors? Thats what its for on my PSU.

Its weird that theres no 4 pin connector, how old is the PSU, what brand etc

I would get an adaptor, but depending on the PSU, if its an old crappy thing that doesnt have a ATX connector, then I would reccomend a new PSU.

Yes, it should work, provided the cable is secure, and cannot fall out. Many EPS12V power supplies also include a 4-pin ATX12V connector, in one form or another. In the case of the Antec NeoHE500 series, for example, the EPS12V connector splits in half to allow it to be used in ATX12V systems without incident.

The adapter should work, and it may work with it just hanging out, if it fits. My PSU has a 8 pin and came with a adapter to change to 4 pin, and same with a 24pin main power and it came with a adapter to a 20pin, and currently i use both adapters.

thanks for ur help :)
problem is solved now , that 8 pin got stuck and when i pulled it guess what happened .. yeah the 8 pins splitted to two 4 pins :o
hehe my fault . everything is working perfectly now :D
