Need help with this!

I have a dual boot computer (Win XP & Win 7) that's from my laptop which is an IDE HDD, 40GB, etc. Decided to clone that hard drive to a SATA drive on a desktop... The clone worked (well almost) as I attempted to see if I could access both O.S. but that wasn't possible. I got this message:

0xc0000225 and \NTLDR is missing

Decided to repair using Win 7 Installation disk, and that worked. However, once I attempted to boot Win XP, I wasn't able to. Was planning to use XP Installation disk but before doing that, I'll see if changing the boot sequence will resolve it. Are there any suggestions out there I can correct this issue?

Thanks!

If we are talking about 2 different computers then that would be part of the issue as well. You can't clone a drive that was in one computer to a different drive that goes in a different computer from the original. You can only clone the new drive is going back into the same computer.

Not sure how you cloned it but if you only did a partition clone you will have to make the partition active and possibly run bootcfg from recovery console so the mbr is pointing to the right partition.
