Need Help with upgrading processor and motherboard

Hi, I'm looking into upgrading my Pentium D 3.2 ghz processor to a Core 2 duo and find a motherboard to match it. I'm interested in a motherboard that supports SLI and Quad Core Cpu's, in case I decide to upgrade in the future. Any suggestions with what Cpu/motherboard combo I should get?

These are my current specs

Antec Super Lanboy Mid-tower Case
Geforce 7900GTX
Pentium D 3.2 GHZ
Asus P5WD2 Motherboard
2 GB Corsair DDR2 Memory
