I need some help, a friend of mine gave me his desktop to work on, well when i turned it on it wont boot even into safe mode it just loops back around again to the black screen with my boot options. Ive tried last known good config, boot normally, safe mode with and without networking. I pulled the drive and connected it to my computer with a usb adapter and ran malwarebytes as well as a check disk. Here is my malwarebytes log: and check disk said it fixed and repaired a few errors and that was it.

This belongs in the security section but anyway, it looks as if malwarebytes did its' job. Try updating to the latest definitions and running it again. Running CCleaner also can't hurt.

Not sure if this is a security issue or not, doesn't sound like it.

Can you ask him if he put a drive with an OS already on it into a different system? If so, you can't do that as drivers are different and it will either boot loop or blue screen on you.
