When I open DirectX 9.0c and it started testing, I see in the sound I have in the motherboard it said

"The file smwdm.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer."

I don't know what that means and I hope someone tells me, and I have problems in it like one of them "when I try to empty the Recycle Bin the sound of emptying comes after a while or even opening a file" and I have another sound card it doesn't do that when I empty the Recycle Bin or even opening a file or any sound comes from windows XP SP2.
I uploaded the DirectX information txt file if you need it to help me

All that means is that the manufacture of the sound card drivers havent been tested by Microsoft so therefore can not certify them as "good quality".

As for your delayed sound, is there any slowdown in your computer? or is it just the sound that affected?

And if it isn't compatible/good quality, it might do that...

Buy only from "known" manufacturers.

To be honest Ive always considered Microsofts WHQL to be another useless feature of Windows XP/Vista. Lets face it, your going to click continue anyway otherwise you hardware wont work! and also it seems to report practically 90% of all hardware as uncertified, even from well known manufactures.

It might be useful though, even though man people regard it as worthless.
