Need Help!

Hey all,

Have encountered some big problems while starting up my new build, I cant get a picture at all.. Its completly black from the moment I start it up.

My Specs are,

Motherboard: Asus P5E (New)
GPU: Radeon HD 4870 (New)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 @ 1.8Ghz (From old computer, works fine)
RAM: 2x Corsair Dominator Extreme 1GB DDR2 1066Mhz (New)
PSU: Corsair TX750 Watt (New)
Monitor: 19'' AG Neovo F-419

Have tried two new P5E boards and 2 other GPUs without success, I am completly stumped as I have tried just about everything I can think of.

Please help.
 
Silly question maybe but have you connected the dual six-pin power connections ? whereas the 4850 had a single connection.
 
try the monitor on another pc? switch the memory banks in out and switch them between the banks. Try a whole other set of memory preferably. Still got an old psu lying around somewhere? try that.

have you grounded the mobo correctly?
