Need help!!

Hi everyone

Recently my hotmail account has sent auto-generated messages to all of my contacts alphabetically one by one to promote some random clothes shop in China. I don't understand how it was sent from my hotmail account Is my account hacked? How do I cancel it and if I delete my hotmail account, will it be able to send further things to my contacts?

i suggest changing your password if you haven't done so and maybe run a virus and spyware scan. if you delete your account, i dont think it will be able to send mails to your contacts using your email. but it may be able to send mails to your contacts using other accounts if it had copied the email addresses. and by "it", im referring to either a virus or a hacker.

Yeah I'd agree with the password change + I'd also recommend posting a Hijackthis log in "computer security".
