Is there a way to delete all the files on a hard drive without a operating system.

yes you do not need an operating system on the drive to erase the data on it. What youll want to do is format the hard drive, which can be done with a windows cd.

well does it have an OS installed on it? if it doesent you can put it in another pc and format it that way

I don't have one. Im trying to dowload an OS on it but there not enough space. I want to get rid of everything but dont no how to.

well why do you want to get everything off before you even have an OS disk to reinstall it?

Do you have a OS installed? if so, how big is the HDD? If its at least 3Gb, you hshould be fine. Just strqat uninstalling programs. Or put your HDD in a dif PC, and then format it.
