Hi guys im just wondering i just installed Xp on my machine blah blah and i looked at my network status it just doesnt sounds right it says like 12,700 sent 16,500 packets recieved it just seem right seemmmss low to me isnt it? If so what do i do so it goes faster and its hooked up to a router. thanks guys
 
How many packets you've transferred really doesn't have much of anything to do with the speed of your network. Also that amount resets every time you restart your computer or restart the network connection for that matter. What transfer speed does it say it's connected at, are you experiencing issues with speed on your network? Typically you won't actually get wire speed when transferring files depending on how big they are and how many you're transferring at a time.
