I have problem with my winxp after install os then i install service pack 2, it is said the is corrupt. is there a way to format HD without using winxp? Thank you

Formatting a drive will erase everything on it. Can you boot to Xp? If so you may be able to do a System Restore which will undo Sp2 changes.

You can only format the Windows drive outside the Windows OS
ie By using a BootCD. The best and easiest one being the Windows XP Setup Boot Disc (of which you will need for re-installing Windows anyway)
Some info HERE

sorry i miss' the file is corrupt.

Said the file was corrupt when installing SP2 or afterwards when you rebooted. You said after you installed XP then installed SP2 so why dont you want to use the XP CD to format? Or if you still have the CD you can just do a Repair Install. Can you boot into safe mode? If so just go to add and remove and uninstall SP2.
