Need help

not sure if this is the right spot if not if mods could please move it. I have the Asus P8P67 Evo mobo and i updated the bios and now my computer won't load certain programs and constantly keeps freezing. Every time i go into the auto bios to downgrade it says none are available, can anybody help.
 
I would try reinstalling windows or boot to the bios and setup default values and see if that helps. And as far as downgrading bios versions, you can't do it as easily as upgrading. You will have to use a dos utility to downgrade the bios. When you flashed the bios, did it say it completed successfully?

And any particular reason you updated the bios? Unless the bios supposedly fixes an issue you are currently having with your system then its advised not to update it. Issues can and will arise and be hard to fix.
 
the only reason i did the update is because it said the update was to "improve system stability", now i can't get itunes to open even after re-installing multiple times and programs keep freezing
 
but if you had on issues at the time, then you shouldn't have upgraded. Have you tried setting bios defaults? I'm not talking about reinstalling the programs, i'm talking about reinstalling windows...
 
It may or may not. If enablling setup defaults in the bios doesn't work then i would try reinstalling windows. If reinstalling don't help, you will have to rma the board back to asus if under warranty. Did you install beta version 1850? I would have never installed a beta version anyway.
