Gainward GeForce GTX 970 4GB PCI-Express 3.0, Witcher 3 (digital voucher)

and

MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB PCI-Express 3.0, Witcher 3 (digital voucher)

im considering in upgrading a pc.. so i need to get answered fast...

you're basically looking at a 15-20 fps difference on most new games maxed out at 1080p

1664 cuda cores vs 1024.
104 texture mapping units vs 64
56 render output units vs 32
256-bit memory bus vs. 128
4gb (haha or 3.5gb) of vram vs 2gb
clockspeeds differ depending what specific card you buy though.

in laymens terms if you're just casual gaming at 1080p, not like newest most demanding titles, the 960 will be fine. if you want to try out DSR or other more demanding filters and things, then get the 970. that's what it comes down to
